The Sahyoun family joins Belle Property

One of Western Sydney’s most prominent real estate families is set to enter a new era, joining the Belle Property group as of today.

After 20 years operating as LJ Hooker Parramatta, the Sahyoun family officially opened their doors under the Belle Parramatta banner as of this morning.

As a family-owned and -led business, George, Chris and Nathan Sahyoun bring a team of 25 people, a rent roll of more than 2,000 properties and a high-performing sales operation to the Belle Property network.

While busily preparing to launch under their new entity this week, Nathan Sahyoun explained that Parramatta’s coming of age as a premium real estate destination was part of the reason for the shift.

“The Belle franchise is a truly boutique brand and we felt this was where we needed to position ourselves into the future. Parramatta has truly come of age in the last couple of years and it’s attracting a lot more people due to its affordability.

“We did a lot of research – we’ve been established a long time and we looked at every brand out there,” Nathan continued. “We were attracted to Belle with its boutique product and high-performing people.”

Meanwhile, George Sahyoun added the shift was a “big strategic move”.

“As we look to the future and continue to evolve in business, we want to develop our technology, our marketing, our social interactions as well as move into a ‘regional hub’ approach.”

Born and bred locals, the Sahyoun family are not only leaders in the real estate market; they are prominent members within the Parramatta community and pride themselves on their business acumen.

Having grown from a relatively small operation to its current powerhouse, the Sahyoun family will use the next 12 months to embed the Belle Property culture into the team and their clients, while looking to the real estate future of the fast-growing Parramatta region.

“Parramatta is currently the infrastructure capital of Australia,” Nathan said. “The State Government has cemented Parramatta as the next CBD for New South Wales.”

He noted that current and future projects included long-term essential services like the Westmead Hospital redevelopment, the Parramatta light rail project, two new schools and the Parramatta Square project, which on its own will yield thousands of jobs over the next three years.

“As part of Belle, we’re excited to offer this growing community something that hasn’t been offered here before.

“Put simply, we continue to love real estate and our biggest focus will be looking after our existing clients while attracting new business.”

Meanwhile, Belle Property CEO Peter Hanscomb said he was thrilled to have such a dedicated and experienced real estate family join the Belle Property fold.

“It’s taken a long time to find the right people for our Parramatta offering. We’ve known the Sahyoun family for around 10 years and have always found them to be decent, hard-working people. We just knew they were a good fit for our brand.

“We have seen Parramatta go through such a transformation – the growth in the market, the changing demographic and how much investment has come into the area. Parramatta has become an important location for Belle Property, but it was really important who we went to Parramatta with.

“We have probably had a dozen approaches over the years to open in Parramatta, but we were never quite happy with the cultural fit. We have gotten to know the Sahyoun family over a long period of time and we align with their values and the fact that they are tenacious business people. They have an absolute desire to take the Belle Property brand in the right way through the Parramatta district.

“They are the right people and we are very excited about our future with them,” Mr Hanscomb added. “We welcome them into the business and the greater Belle family, in the knowledge they’ll make a significant contribution to other businesses in the Belle Property group.”
