Stone real estate to expand to 30 offices by year-end: CEO Peter Mumford

Sydney-based Stone Real Estate plans to grow its offices from current 13 to 30 by the end of the year, its CEO and founder Peter Mumford has said.

Mumford, a former McGrath agent who started the business two years ago with the first office set up in Lane Cove, said this year’s expansion plans would be executed throughout various parts in Sydney before expanding the franchise to other parts of the country next year.

“We are very hands on and helping our partners grow their business by pairing them with coaches. We also help our partners with recruitment as well,” he said.

“Most of our franchise holders are former real estate agents from Belle and McGrath and LJ Hooker, what we do is supply the vehicle for people who want to have their own business,” he said, adding that the franchise has collectively over 40 real estate agents.

Mumford also said the company was working on a unique service which allows its clientele to be managed more efficiently through a concierge-style service for customers with a centralised database could streamline every part of a property owner’s portfolio by dealing with just one agency.

Each Stone office also has a concierge to assist clients with applicable services and they are looking to develop this by adding to their strong list of contacts of excellent tradespeople who are dependable and highly recommended whether it be electrician, plumber, handyman, painter, gardener or stylist.

“Stone is willing to go the extra mile to help clients have a positive and smooth experience when buying, selling or maintaining an investment portfolio. We want to take the stress out of this huge life event and being a strong boutique brand means we are more hands on and able to assist with the smallest detail,” Mumford said.
