Sotheby’s appoints award-winning local agent to lead the Northern Territory

Sotheby’s International Realty has announced its expansion into the Northern Territory market. The global luxury real estate powerhouse has opened in Darwin, helmed by local realtor May Dunlop, adding to established Australian offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Gold Coast, Adelaide and Hobart.

Ms Dunlop is no stranger to the Northern Territory real estate world and is looking forward to bringing the Sotheby’s Realty brand to the Top End.

“I launched my career in real estate 15 years ago and have been recognised with a number of Real Estate Institute awards. I’m excited to be joining forces with Sotheby’s International Realty and using their incredible global reach to bring a new level of luxury to the Territory,” said Ms Dunlop.

Based in the heart of Darwin, the new headquarters will tap into Ms Dunlop’s extensive local knowledge and contacts, backed by the distinctive Sotheby’s International Realty brand and a network of 20,000 sales associates in 900 offices in 70 countries worldwide.

“Darwin and the North Territory present such an enviable lifestyle opportunity. They are blessed with incredible scenery, history and climate and with that comes some spectacular property,” says Group Managing Director Graham Bowie. “

The demand from international buyers continues and we believe that Sotheby’s International Realty is the perfect choice as a brand to specialise in the Top End property market.”

Northern Territory Sotheby’s International Realty listings will be marketed on the sothebysrealty.com global website. In addition to the referral opportunities and widened exposure generated from this source, agents and clients will benefit from an association with the Sotheby’s Auction House and worldwide Sotheby’s International Realty marketing programs.

Each office is independently owned and operated.
