RE/MAX opens in Brisbane suburb of Hendra

The new RE/MAX Signature office in Hendra, Brisbane, will open its doors later this month and is shaking up the traditional model.

Under the leadership of Richard Siganto, the office is in a strategic location for accessing main roads and a number of key suburbs. Mr Siganto has taken the unusual move to open in a 340-square metre warehouse, offering free storage for clients.

“We are located in a commercial office space but there is extra space in the back of the warehouse. Rather than the expense of storage should they need it, our clients can store household items here for free. Often people declutter when they move so they can move things into the storage space to save them the hassle.

“We can play cricket in the space too,” Mr Siganto joked.

Just six kilometres out of the Brisbane CBD, the RE/MAX Hendra office will have the advantage of servicing a number of suburbs from Boondall down to Brisbane river.

“We are in a prime Northern Corridor spot to serve real estate customers in a broad geographical area,” Mr Siganto said.

“The demographic of Hendra is mainly families. The median house price of the area is growing and there are houses over a million dollars. People who are priced out of blue-chip suburbs like Hamilton and Clayfield look for homes in Hendra.

“Hendra itself is becoming increasingly popular, and RE/MAX Signature will deliver the same inner-city real estate experience through gentrified suburbs such as Boondall, Banyo and Nudgee as it does for Ascot and Hamilton, for instance.”

Mr Siganto, who has been in real estate for five years and grew up in Brisbane, said people are no longer going to real estate agent offices and looking at the photographs of properties outside.

“Gone are the days when people walk into your office and say ‘I want to sell my house’. Gone are the days when people rock up to your office and you drive them around to show properties. Everything is done online.

“People will come your open homes and the advantage of RE/MAX is there is no presence in this corridor of Brisbane, which is our greatest asset. We are not restricting ourselves to just one suburb,” Mr Siganto said.

RE/MAX Australia’s Franchise Director Joel Davoren welcomed Mr Siganto to RE/MAX as a broker-owner who matched the global brand’s core beliefs and values.

“Richard has a highly successful career history in real estate and other fields and has shown great innovation and leadership. A reinvigorated drive and passion for real estate brought him to RE/MAX with a desire to grow a strong and successful business,” Mr Davoren said.
