Pink October has been a resounding success for Century 21

Century 21 Australasia have declared the network’s Pink October fundraising initiatives a resounding success, with the network raising thousands of dollars for the Cancer Council’s Pink Ribbon campaign.

For the fourth year running, the Australasian led initiative saw Century 21 agents exchange their signature gold real estate jackets for pink jackets and accessories.

The network held a variety of events over the month to raise funds for the Cancer Council and their funding of prevention programs, support services, and world-class research for breast and gynaecological cancers.

Charles Tarbey, Chairman and Owner of Century 21 Australasia, said an overwhelming amount of support was once again shown by the network and members of their local communities: “The month saw many great opportunities to come together and raise much-needed funds for the Pink Ribbon campaign,” said Charles Tarbey.

“Cancer is a disease that hits close to home for many, including real estate agents.

“Century 21 is proud to play a small part in supporting the valuable work of the Cancer Council and the enthusiasm displayed by the network and local communities was fantastic,” said Mr Tarbey.

Over the past four years, Century 21 has raised over a quarter of a million dollars for the Pink Ribbon campaign.

A number of internal state-based events were held in October, including pink themed charity golf days, charity auctions and awards nights.

Across the network, Century 21’s website, signboards, and marketing collateral had a pink makeover to raise awareness for the cause.

Century 21 offices sold a range of pink merchandise and collected donations at open homes and auctions held over the month. They also held fundraising events in their local areas, including community barbecues, raffles, morning teas, breakfasts and movie screening events.

Four of Century 21’s eastern suburbs offices in Maroubra, Bondi Junction, Randwick and Rose Bay joined together to hold a super auction night in Sydney that also aimed to raise funds for the cause.

Century 21 Leslie and Banks in Devonport, Tasmania had a very busy month which included hosting a Pink October Walk for the second year running, as well as a cocktail charity event at the Devonport Surf Life Saving Club, and a Facebook auction that had many fantastic prizes up for grabs.

Century 21 Aaron Moon Realty in Townsville, Queensland held their fourth annual pink themed charity bowls tournament with a record number of teams competing in the pink-themed fancy dress. The office also auctioned a North Queensland Cowboys jersey signed by the 2015 Premiership winning team.
