Lisa Halpin to open Sotheby’s International Realty new North Gold Coast Office

Lisa Halpin has been appointed by Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty to head up its new North Gold Coast office.

Ms Halpin started working within the Gold Coast real estate industry just five years ago and has already forged a reputation for strong sales garnering more than $130 million in recent residential property deals.

Ms Halpin started with Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty on January 29 at the Main Beach office. The North Gold Coast office, of which she will be Director and Principal, is due to open in Spring.

“I knew the Sotheby’s brand well from England, where I’m originally from, and also in Dubai where I lived for 12 years and owned and managed my own real estate business.”

“It’s an international brand with a massive platform in the residential market having 930 offices around the world. I’m looking forward to introducing clients to the international experience that Sotheby’s International Realty offers.”

Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty CEO, Paul Arthur, says the office will service Mount Tamborine, Hope Island, Sanctuary Cove, Sovereign Island and south along the Broadwater to Runaway Bay, with everything from prestigious country estates to luxurious waterfront mansions and FIRB-approved residences in Sanctuary Cove and Hope Island Resort.

“We are very excited to have Lisa representing the Sotheby’s International Realty brand on the northern Gold Coast. Sotheby’s International Realty’s reach to potential international clients combined with Lisa’s honesty, integrity, absolute professionalism and her local area knowledge will provide a great deal of opportunities to buyers and sellers in the region”. Mr Arthur said.

Ms Halpin will travel to New York in March to visit the Sotheby’s International Realty Headquarters and spend time with agents in Manhattan.

“I really try to connect well with clients. It’s very much a customer service industry. And it’s especially exciting to become Director and Principal of the new office as I believe there are only two other women on the Gold Coast who carry this title,” she said.

Her appointment comes off the back of the opening of a new Tropical North Queensland office headed up by Barbara Wolveridge and adds to the strong stable of powerful women already working under the Sotheby’s International Realty umbrella.

They include Main Beach Senior Sales Executives Carol Carter and Mashelle Jones. In fact, between them Ms Carter and Ms Halpin alone have sold four of the top 10 houses in Queensland in recent months.

Ms Carter, the first team member to join Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty, who recently sold one of the highest priced properties in Queensland, Mandalay House in the Whitsundays for an undisclosed amount, welcomes Ms Halpin to the team.

“I believe Lisa will enjoy the company culture here at Queensland Sotheby’s International Realty. It’s a very professional, supportive environment, with a solid team spirit which resonates throughout not only our Queensland offices but the offices world-wide.” she said.

Ms Carter will also be travelling internationally to India in March to meet with Sotheby’s International Realty offices to promote luxury Queensland real estate leading up to the Commonwealth games.
