Young Principals about to open 11th office

Jared and Shallain Hodge are a mission to build their real estate empire.

Jared Hodge, a 42-year-old young-gun real estate principal and entrepreneur, is soon to open his 11th new business in only eight years when he opens Ray White Burleigh Heads.

The move comes just weeks after the mutual departure from glamour Gold Coast suburb by the previous Ray White franchisor Scott Boniwell.

Mr Hodge’s latest office promises to build on his 17 years of experience in the industry, enriched by his inhouse print marketing capabilities, concierge support and vast local knowledge.

Mr Hodge and his wife Shallain, who runs their property management arm, have four children aged 25, 22, 20 and nine-years old.

“We are very busy and I love it. My first franchise was in Coolangatta and Tweed Heads in April 2009. I now cover from Burleigh Heads to Pottsville, we are the complete southern network now,” Mr Hodge said.

“We now control two of the most iconic places on the Gold Coast in Burleigh Heads and Coolangatta. These beaches are very well known, and Burleigh is just an awesome suburb.

“It’s so trendy in Burleigh now and further down Palm Beach is going through that now. Burleigh still has the vibe and feel of old school Gold Coast though, it doesn’t have the big highrises and it has a great attitude there.

“It has the best headland and national park, plus world class restaurants. If you lived in Burleigh you wouldn’t have to go anywhere else to eat, play and rest.

“I have been interested in Burleigh Heads for a few years, and we should be open by the end of the month in a shopfront next to the iconic surf shop Mt Woodgee on the Gold Coast highway side.”

The Ray White GC South Network employs 120 people and sells everything from beachfront units to multi-million dollar trophy homes, plus big and small commercial deals from cane farms and pubs.

Mr Hodge also owns Ray White Business Brokers Gold Coast.

“We are a one stop shop, and that was my vision back in 2009. We can look after you in anyway, no matter if it’s a residential, commercial or business broking transaction,” he said.

“The strength in my business is its size and scale, plus my database is connected and we have 450 people through our open homes every weekend. We speak to everyone.”

“We are on track to lift sales by 25 per cent this financial year which is consistent to our previous years. I have the structure now that I could put 35 new staff on, without increasing overheads,”he said.

“In three weeks I have generated 300 appraisals by having my own inhouse concierge/prospecting team. I will hit 600 this month as I track everything.

“I own two printing presses now and every market update that goes out from our office is personalised to you, as the homeowner.”

Ray White Queensland CEO Tony Warland said he was delighted for Jared and Shallain Hodge to expand their reach now into Burleigh Heads.

“I am really happy for Jared and Shallain as Burleigh Heads is such an iconic location,” Mr Warland said.

“The Hodges have secured such a prime shop front location in Burleigh and the real estate market there has grown strongly in recent years.

“They are such a go-getters and we’ll help Jared and Shallain reach their full potential by supporting them in any way we can.”

Mr Hodge has a huge capacity for work. “I don’t have any managers, so my secret is I just talk to my staff and work hard from 5am each day, until 10pm. I don’t stop,” he said.

“We’re coming to Burleigh Heads, and no-one can offer what we do. We have it all covered, we can do the printing, we have the database, we have a great team, and we have the structure plus we have a great brand in Ray White.”
