Century 21 partners with Facebook

Century 21 has become a global partner of Workplace by Facebook and has commenced the rollout of the platform across the Australasian network.

Workplace is a version of Facebook adapted to connect companies, functioning in the same way as the world’s most used social networking platform and designed to enhance business communication and operations.

The gradual rollout of Workplace will see all Century 21 offices and agents across Australia and New Zealand connected on the platform in the near future. The group has received positive feedback from users due to the familiarity of Facebook.

Century 21 Australasia Chairman and Owner, Charles Tarbey, believes the platform will be a powerful tool in transforming the way the network communicates across all levels of the business.

“Facebook is used by over a billion people worldwide, and its omnipresence and power of connectivity are qualities that have been transferred into the Workplace platform,” said Charles Tarbey.

“Whilst there is always plenty happening across the network, we noticed a slight disconnect between this and the information that was being widely communicated and received by our agents.

“Our overarching goal using Workplace is to facilitate transparent and free-flowing communication throughout all levels of the business,” said Charles Tarbey.

Each agent will have a personal profile on Workplace similar to the regular Facebook platform. They can then connect and communicate within groups – which may consist of their office members, offices in a wider region, or corporate office and the entire network.

From the top down, corporate office will be able to share instant updates and information on business happenings, training events and awards nights, and notable achievements within the network. They will also share structured training posts and value-rich video and multimedia content that agents can engage and interact with on the closed, intranet style platform.

Across the network, agents will be able to communicate with each other by reacting to and commenting on posts, asking questions, sharing their tips, tricks and challenges, and building valuable relationships with other agents in the network regardless of location.

“Agents are on the go, leading busy and fast-paced lives and Workplace is designed to keep up with this. Notifications are immediate and visible as they pop up on screen and will help agents to ensure that no information is missed,” said Charles Tarbey.

“By using a communication tool that people already know and understand, the adoption of the technology is proving a natural process and many of our agents barely require any guidance as to how to use it.

“However, we are also taking great care in ensure the rollout is carefully orchestrated so that the network fully engages and understands how to harness the value inherent in the platform,” said Charles Tarbey.
