REISA’s awards night honours SA’s best real estate agents

The Real Estate of South Australia (REISA) awards ceremony will recognise some of the state’s best agents, and this year with two new initiatives.

REISA’s chief Greg Troughton said the awards first new initiative would be through the introduction of a mystery shopper while the second one would look at placing a requirement for sales professionals to provide the judges with a list – not only for their sale prices – but also their appraisal prices in their portfolios.

“I am very excited that the awards are entering a new era of consumer experience and accountability, 2017 is the year of “Walking the Talk” and proving that you can rightfully call yourself the best of the best,” Troughton said.

“While written submissions and interviews serve their purpose, we also want to find out what the consumer experiences out there on the ground. We want to test whether real estate professionals provide the exceptional service that they say they do.

“Every agent considers themselves a local expert in their suburb or area. Again, it is time to test this. The agent who can best predict a sale price and then achieve that result has the right to call themselves a local expert,” he said.

Troughton said the awards night was also done to recognise the best real estate agents in South Australia.

“As we approach our 100th year anniversary, what better way to acknowledge our standing and reputation in South Australia than making our awards as good as they can be?” Troughton said.

REISA’s awards night will take place at the Adelaide Convention Centre on October 14.
