hockingstuart launches training arm: hockingstuart Academy

One of Victoria’s largest real estate agencies, hockingstuart, has announced the launch of its own accredited training arm for those wishing to pursue a career in property.

The hockingstuart Academy will offer training programs for those in the real estate industry looking to upskill, as well as a range of accredited qualifications such as the Agent’s Representative Certificate and Full License Certificate for those wanting to kick start their career in real estate.

The courses will be conducted in conjunction with SkilledUp, a Melbourne based registered training organisation (RTO).
hockingstart CEO, Simon Jovanovic, said there were many advantages for studying at hockingstuart.

Simon Jovanovic_2_CMYK_A4“For those looking to ignite a new career in property, hockingstuart Academy’s programs will be run by experienced agents who currently work in the field, and candidates can learn the ropes from industry experts first hand,” said Mr Jovanovic.

“What’s more, students will have access to employment opportunities at our extensive Network, and will be supported throughout their career with further learning and development.”

Mr Jovanovic added: “The Agents Representative Certificate can also be completed in just five days and there’s after hours class times, a big tick for those who have work commitments.”

Training has traditionally been a major cornerstone for the Victorian real estate agency, having won the Real Estate Business award for Best Training and Education just last year, and investing in elite professional development coaches Chris Helder and Peter Gilchrist to mentor its staff.

Former carwash business man and now hockingstuart St Kilda Director, Sam Inan, said it was exciting to provide opportunities for those looking to make the switch to real estate.

“I made the transition into real estate after ten years growing a national car wash franchise, so I understand how skills in sales, retail and hospitality can translate to our industry. I often see many candidates from these fields apply for agent or property management positions, so it’s fantastic to be able to support them with the training to come into our industry,” said Mr Inan.

“The most exciting part is that budding real estate agents will be able to learn from experienced agents in the hockingstuart network – I personally have gained an incredible amount from the individuals across the group and now these candidates will too.”

The first Agents Representative Certificate course will launch on 25 July. Interested candidates can visit hockingstuart.com.au/careers
