Rent.com.au has partnered with PPM Group for the prestigious 2016 PPM National Property Management Awards, to be held on the Gold Coast on 19 June.
Entries are now open for the awards, with nominations sought from the best property managers and property management departments across the nation.
Now in its second year, the group’s ‘Best of the Best’ awards recognise outstanding achievement in residential property management at a national level.
This year’s event will be held on Sunday, 19 June at Surfers Paradise Marriott on the Gold Coast, where property management professionals will come together to recognise the industry’s top performers across nine categories.
PPM Group Managing Director Debbie Palmer said receiving an award was one of the most sought-after career goals for property management team members and agencies:
“Our prestigious ‘Best of the Best’ event will recognise outstanding achievement on a national level,” she said. “The awards aim to encourage, recognise, and promote excellence in the areas of service delivery, systems, technology, marketing, business development, leasing, personal achievement and best industry practices.”
Among the roll call of excellence in property management in 2015 was Natasha Connors from LJ Hooker Yarrabilba, who was awarded Property Manager of the Year.
Connors, now the senior property and new business manager for the Queensland-based agency said she had seen PPM Group advertising their annual awards online, prompting her to enter:
“I had been in many offices which didn’t recognise the achievements or hard work of their property management staff and so thought it was a fantastic way to potentially be recognised within the industry,” she said.
“I continually strive to be the best I possibly can. To be recognised nationally as the best in 2015 was a huge milestone and accomplishment for me. Since I won the award, my career has only become better. Clients have been more forthcoming to sign with our office and it’s an additional point of difference when conducting an appraisal with a potential owner.”

The event will bring together the 2016 PPM National Property Management Awards finalists from each state and territory and the 2015 BDM of The Year, Elizabeth Hood of Elite Real Estate, who will share her experiences over the past year.
Award winners and finalists will be promoted through media exposure, as well as trophies and award logos for marketing and promotional opportunities.
PPM Group will appoint industry experts who have knowledge of property management to judge this year’s award categories.

- Property Manager of the Year
- Business Development Manager of the Year
- Leasing Consultant of the Year
- Property Management Support Team Member of the Year
- Property Management Client Service Award of the Year (agency)
- Property Management Website of the Year
- Small Property Management Agency of the Year (less than 400 residential properties)
- Large Property Management Agency of the Year (greater than 400 residential properties)
Submissions are now open for the 2016 PPM National Property Management Awards. Submissions close on Friday, 29 April.
